Biography
Alicia Bartley is a Partner at Gaines & Stacey LLP, a San Fernando Valley based law firm which specializes in land use, zoning, environmental law, related litigation, and political advocacy. The firm provides counsel and services to property owners, real estate developers, governmental agencies, community groups and individuals related to real estate and general business issues.
Ms. Bartley practices in a variety of areas, including litigation involving property transactions, boundary disputes, and project development, as well as land use entitlements, real property purchase and sale transactions, and other real estate related matters. She is a member of the California State Bar and is admitted to practice before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal.
Ms. Bartley is a past Co-Chair of the San Fernando Valley Bar Association Real Estate Law Section. She serves on the Sherman Oaks Neighborhood Council Planning and Land Use Committee and on the Urban Land Institute Los Angeles Mobility Committee. She is also an adjunct lecturer at the University of Southern California Gould School of Law
Ms. Bartley has been awarded with the San Fernando Valley Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” honor, and she was a Super Lawyers Southern California “Rising Star”.
Ms. Bartley was born in Littleton, Colorado, and was raised in Southern California. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Law and Society, with an emphasis in Criminal Justice, from University of California, Santa Barbara. She then received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law. Prior to becoming an associate at Gaines & Stacey LLP, Ms. Bartley was a law clerk at the real estate investment firm Hertz Investment Group.
